SANCTUARY GARDEN
In 2022 we were most generously bequeathed a sum of money which we were charged to use for the “good of the community”.
Following a great deal of consideration, we settled on the creation of a Sanctuary Garden where members of the public could come and spend some quiet time, whilst enjoying the beautiful views and remembering loved ones.
We are very grateful for the support and advice given to us by Swanage Town Council and we hope that you – the residents of the Isle of Purbeck – will benefit from what we have envisaged for you.
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful place.
DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
DESIGN
The layout of our wonderful Sanctuary Garden was dreamt up by award-winning Dorset designer Michelle Brown, a graduate of Kingston Maurward College, whose work has been exhibited at Kew Gardens and Chelsea Flower Show.
CONSTRUCTION
The construction of the Sanctuary Garden was carried out by the amazing team at Wycliffe Landscapes, who work on projects throughout Dorset & Hampshire.
Thank you all so much!

VISIT THE GARDEN
The Cancare Santuary Garden does not yet appear on Google maps!
It is, however, easy to find as it is right next to the Swanage Sea Rowing Club compound in Marshall Row, Swanage.
Please visit next time you’re in the area.
If you live locally and have some time & gardening skills to spare, we are always looking for volunteers to help with maintainance. Please contact us if you think you may be able to help 🙂
